We Plant initiative strengthens sustainable farming and nutrition security at the community level π±π

On 6th January 2026, a meaningful milestone was achieved under the We Plant Initiative with the establishment of a new Seed Bank at Kendrashala Vidyamandir, Nagdevwadi. This effort was led by our dedicated team member, Ms. Ekta Aiwale (District Program Coordinator), with the support of the school community. πΎβ¨
The Seed Bank is designed to empower students and local families by encouraging sustainable farming practices, seed preservation, and the cultivation of nutrition-rich crops. By promoting local food production, this initiative plays an important role in reducing malnutrition and hunger, especially among children and vulnerable families.
Schools act as strong foundations for long-term change, and initiatives like this help transform learning into action. Through hands-on involvement with seeds and planting, students develop awareness about nutrition, sustainability, and community responsibility. πΏπ
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the school authorities for their cooperation and encouragement, which made this initiative possible. Together, we are sowing the seeds of change and nurturing a healthier, more resilient future β one seed at a time. π±π
