At WePlant India, we believe that lasting change begins with education, community participation, and simple actions that create a meaningful impact. Every seed preserved today has the potential to become a source of nourishment tomorrow, helping build a healthier, greener, and hunger-free future for generations to come.

As part of our mission to reduce hunger and malnutrition across India, we proudly established a Seed Bank at Government School, Satrod Kurd, Hisar, Haryana. This initiative marks another important milestone in our commitment to promoting nutrition, biodiversity, and sustainable food systems through community and school engagement.

The Seed Bank serves as more than a collection of seeds—it is a living classroom where students learn the importance of seed conservation, environmental stewardship, and food security. Through interactive awareness activities, students were introduced to the significance of preserving indigenous seeds, cultivating nutritious plants, and protecting biodiversity. They also explored the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a special focus on SDG 2: Zero Hunger, understanding how individual actions can contribute to ending hunger and ensuring access to nutritious food for all.

By encouraging children to value nature and sustainable practices from an early age, we are nurturing a generation of environmentally conscious citizens who recognize the connection between healthy ecosystems, nutritious food, and community well-being. These young changemakers have the potential to inspire their families and communities, creating a ripple effect that extends far beyond the classroom.
