Inspiring young minds to nurture nature, fight hunger, and grow a sustainable tomorrow — one seed at a time.
On 16th July 2025, a meaningful and engaging “We Plant” session took place at Z.P. Primary School, Wardha, Maharashtra, led by Ms. Rutuja Navghare (DPC – Wardha). The event was enthusiastically supported by Mr. Prashant Nandanwar (Principal), whose encouragement and active involvement helped make the day a memorable celebration of environmental awareness and collective responsibility. 🌱
With an energetic gathering of 70 participants, including students, teachers, and staff, the school campus transformed into a vibrant hub of learning and environmental action. During the session, students enthusiastically took part in seed sowing activities, connecting directly with nature and discovering how plants sustain life and nourish communities.
The program emphasized the importance of planting nutritional plants — highlighting how such efforts not only protect biodiversity but also play a key role in addressing hunger and malnutrition. Children learned that every seed planted contributes to a healthier ecosystem and a more food-secure future.
As part of the “We Plant” initiative, engaging discussions and storytelling sessions helped deepen students’ understanding of sustainability. They expressed great curiosity and enthusiasm, sharing reflections on how they could personally take part in building a greener, healthier future for their communities.
The session left a profound impact on everyone present. What began as a simple planting activity blossomed into a lesson in growth, hope, and responsibility. Many students shared that they felt inspired to continue caring for their environment and to encourage others to do the same.
By empowering children to act today, the “We Plant” program continues to sow the seeds of awareness that will grow into lasting change.
