Planting Hope, Growing Futures: Children Lead a Green Revolution in Parbhani

October 12, 2025

On 7th July 2025, the campus of Z.P. Primary School and Anganwadi, Wali Village (Parbhani, Maharashtra) came alive with excitement, purpose, and greenery. The school community came together for a vibrant Plantation Drive, turning the grounds into a living classroom of sustainability.

In the presence of the School Principal, Teachers, and Anganwadi staff, students actively participated in planting a variety of nutritious trees and seeds — including custard apple, tamarind, ramphal, pomegranate, dates, and mango. Each plant was carefully chosen for its nutritional and environmental value, reflecting a commitment to building a healthier and hunger-free future. 🍈🥭🌳

Adding another layer of impact, a Seed Bank was established within the school premises. This seed bank will help preserve local plant varieties and encourage children to understand the importance of biodiversity, food security, and ecological balance.

The event was not merely about planting trees — it was about planting values. It inspired children to take ownership of their surroundings, understand the link between nutrition and nature, and work collectively towards combating malnutrition in rural communities.

Through such meaningful initiatives, Children in India continues to nurture young changemakers who are shaping a future rooted in awareness, sustainability, and compassion.

🌍💚 Together, we can root out malnutrition — one tree at a time.
