Combining child well-being, nutrition, and environmental sustainability through the “Save Seeds, Grow Seeds” campaign

On the occasion of World Clubfoot Day, celebrated on 3 June 2026, a meaningful initiative brought together families, healthcare support, and environmental awareness at the PDMC Clinic Amravati in Amravati. The event highlighted the importance of nurturing both children and nature while promoting healthier and more sustainable communities.

Representing the initiative were Vivek and Meenal, who joined nearly 65 parents of children with clubfoot to commemorate the occasion. The gathering served as an opportunity to celebrate resilience, raise awareness, and encourage positive actions that benefit families and future generations alike.

As part of the inspiring “Save Seeds, Grow Seeds” campaign, each participating family received 20 pomegranate seeds and 20 custard apple seeds. Parents were encouraged to plant the seeds in their homes and communities and share photographs of their sowing journey. This simple activity transforms families into active contributors to environmental conservation while fostering a deeper connection with nature.

The initiative aims to promote the cultivation of nutritious fruit-bearing trees that can contribute to household nutrition and long-term food security. By encouraging families to grow their own fruit resources, the campaign supports efforts to reduce hunger and malnutrition while building awareness about sustainable living practices.
