WePlant India engages families and Anganwadi centres to promote food security and sustainable solutions 🌿💚

As part of the WePlant India Initiative, meaningful community outreach activities were carried out today in Jamnagar, Gujarat, where our team member conducted home visits and engaged with four Anganwadi centres. These interactions aimed to build awareness and encourage community participation in locally driven nutrition and sustainability efforts. 🌱
The discussions focused on the importance of nutrition and food security, highlighting how simple, community-led actions can make a lasting difference. Families and Anganwadi workers were introduced to the concept of seed banks and how preserving and growing local seeds can play a vital role in reducing hunger and malnutrition over time. 🌾
By encouraging households to actively participate in sustainable practices—such as seed saving, home gardens, and nutrition-focused planting—the initiative supports families in becoming more self-reliant while strengthening community resilience. These conversations also reinforced the idea that food security begins at home and grows through shared responsibility.
Small conversations at the grassroots level often lead to powerful change. Through continued engagement and awareness, WePlant India remains committed to supporting healthier families and building stronger, more food-secure communities — one interaction at a time. 🌍💚
