Empowering communities to grow nutritious food and build resilience under the We Plant initiative π±π

Under the We Plant initiative, a meaningful step has been taken to strengthen community nutrition and sustainability in Latur and Aurangabad districts. Our dedicated team member, Ms. Kanchan Dhotre, successfully established Seed Banks in these regions, expanding access to locally adaptable and nutrition-rich seeds for schools and communities.
These Seed Banks are designed to support community-led food systems, enabling families to grow diverse, healthy crops close to home. By encouraging seed preservation and local cultivation, the initiative directly contributes to reducing malnutrition and hunger, while promoting long-term food security. πΎβ¨
Each seed shared through these Seed Banks represents more than a planting opportunity β it symbolises self-reliance, resilience, and collective responsibility. When communities save and sow their own seeds, they take ownership of their nutrition and strengthen their ability to sustain future generations.
Through this effort, We Plant continues to build pathways toward healthier districts, where sustainability begins at the grassroots level and grows through shared action.
Together, we are nurturing a healthier and more sustainable future β one seed at a time. π±π
